Not everyone is born singing, but no one needs to feel
"smaller" because of it. While singing is a gift, everyone can
learn to sing.

This is because, even if you don’t have the natural talent, some
techniques and care of the voice can teach you how to design the sound of your
vocal folds, so that it is at least melodious to human beings.
So if you have always dreamed of singing using a microphone, do
not give up! We have some super useful techniques that will be able to
help you in this endeavor.
Check out the list below and learn to sing in six steps:
1. Do not imitate anyone
No more trying to imitate your favorite singer! To sing,
people need to find their own style. This is because, in trying to follow the
tone of another person, you end up forcing your voice and compromising
interpretation.
2. Find your tone
There is no universal right tone. Each person has his and
finding it means being able to have that firm and comfortable voice. In
general, there are three possibilities: low, medium and treble. If you are
not comfortable singing, it may be that your voice is better in a low or medium
tone. In this case, if your desire is to find out what your ideal tone is,
the advice is to consult a singing teacher.
3. Learn to breathe
While singing, you should not be choking or cutting words in the
middle to draw air in. Abdominal breathing is ideal for singing, because
it allows you to use the entire lung capacity. But of course, to do this
without effort it takes training: inhale and bring the air into the abdomen for
3 seconds, then, contracting the abdomen to release all the air.
4. Good posture is
essential
It seems silly, but the truth is that poor posture can block the
movement of the diaphragm (in the abdominal area) and make breathing difficult. So
to avoid problems, straighten the trunk and let your shoulders be relaxed. To
help, keep your feet slightly apart from each other, to have greater balance; and
avoid putting all your weight on one leg.
5. Prepare your voice
There are some kinds of food you need to avoid. Eating food
derived from milk, for example, alters the pH of the saliva and leaves it more
viscous. Sugars are also bad, because they stimulate the production of
mucus.
Also, another care needed is the "heating" of the voice. To
do this, try to imitate the sounds of a machine gun (trrrrrrrrrrrr) for up to
15 minutes. This will prevent vocal fold nodule and other assaults.
6. Articulate and words
You have to open your mouth wide when singing, making the
"drawing" of the syllables of each word, especially in the case of
vowels. This gives strength to the interpretation and help people
understand what you are saying during the song. Exercises like vibrating
lips (making "brrrr") help and relax the muscles of the mouth.
If you really desire to learn to sing, you need to put the 6 tips
above into practice. Remember, consistency and determinations will be required
on your part. Enjoy singing.
